Nowadays it is advisable to have knowledge about the raw materials and their cultivation, breeding and storage. The same applies to the quality and possible applications of rape meal and cake.

At the end of processing the rape seed into an edible oil, a residual amount of solid matter remains.

The last product we obtain from refining is the so-called „extraction meal“. This rapeseed meal is used in livestock farming, poultry farming and aquaculture as a high-protein feedstuff.

The high-quality rape cake from cold pressing is also used as animal feed. Here we are researching further areas of application, also in food processing.

Another by-product is lecithin, which is also used by the food industry to produce food as a natural emulsifier.
